Home Who? Where? Journal Special

Here are some organizations that are very special to us:

Y North Kitsap School District Options Program

Y Kitsap Aikido

     Y Option Institute and Fellowship

Here are some people that have helped us make this Odyssey a reality:

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to our dear friends, Paul and Patsy Bryan, and their boys, Daniel and Ross, for all you have given and shared with us over the last 8 years.

Our immeasurable gratitude goes to our neighbors on D-dock at the Poulsbo Yacht Club for the last 6 years, Steve and Linda Lant. In addition to being our neighbors and watching out for Rosalie Clare during every winter storm and Spring gale, and catching many a line for us as we returned to port, the Lants were the first people we met at the Yacht Club, and the last people we saw as we departed from Poulsbo.

To Mike and Steve, our crew on the passage from Puget Sound to the Golden Gate, you saved us. You know all too well that we couldn't have done it without you.

Steve Nickerson, in the photo on the left, is smiling because we are in sight of land.
In the photo on the right, our son Brendan and Steve's son Nick are always life-jacketed,
harnessed and tethered when moving around the boat.

Mike Westphal, one of Dan's Aikido students, takes his turn at the helm.

There are also a few professionals who went above and beyond our expectations to help us on our way:

Ulvar Andersen, of Andersen Machinery in Port Townsend (360-379-1031)
came through on a rush job to enlarge some holes so we could finally get
the rigging enhancements finished and get out of town!
