Melissa visits from Edinburgh
Melissa was able to take 3 weeks off from school and meet Kalen in Los Angeles as Kalen was returning from a conference. They flew together to Maui, rented a car and drove to join Melissa's three brothers and Dan on Rosalie Clare, at anchor off Lahaina.

Kalen got to be with all four of her children for Mothers' Day brunch at the Lahaina Yacht Club.

After brunch, we drove around the north part of the
island of Maui. Here is Melissa with the Iao Needle
behind her.

On Molokai we walked to a Coconut Grove planted by
King Kamehameha V. Warning signs told us
to keep our heads covered because of the danger of falling coconuts.

Melissa looks forward to arriving in Honolulu as we round Diamond Head.

The dock at the Waikiki Yacht club was easy walking distance from the shopping district and Waikiki Beach.

Melissa is always happy to see her 'baby' brother Brendan.

Melissa shoots a portrait of herself and her three brothers.
At the Cemetery of the Pacific, known as The
Punchbowl, we can look out over the city,
all the way to Diamond Head.
